Since 1994, Découverte de la Baie has been showcasing the natural and cultural heritage of Mont Saint-Michel Bay. All guides hold the prefectural skills certificate "Mont Saint-Michel Bay Guide". Departures are from Genêts and Bec d'Andaine, on the other side of the bay — a different viewpoint, and many formats from short walks to long crossings.

2Choose your itinerary

Several formats depending on your desires and the time you have:

Grandes Traversées (Long Crossings) – 7 or 14 kmRound trip on foot (14 km), or one way on foot and return by bus (7 km).
Spéciales Grandes Marées (Special High Tides) – 3 or 7 kmAt the rhythm of Europe's highest tides.
Up to the islet of Tombelaine – 7 or 8 kmOrnithological reserve and historical site.
Petites balades au Mont Saint-Michel (Short Walks to Mont Saint-Michel) – 2 to 3 kmShort format, accessible to the greatest number.

Before or after your bay trip, savor your Lunch Box du Mont in the Discovery formula — fresh, local, ready to go, with a local drink.

To anticipate: order online no later than 7 PM the day before, pick-up available from 10 AM the next day until 7 PM. You can also order in advance, for the date of your choice.

IndividualsPick up your LBM before or after your crossing, directly at the LEFRANC - Produits Régionaux shop, less than 5 minutes from the free shuttle departures and the path to reach Mont Saint-Michel on foot.

  • Departures for Découverte de la Baie are mainly from Genêts (La Maison du Guide, 1 rue Montoise) and Bec d'Andaine — meeting point and time to be confirmed when booking, please arrive in advance.
  • LBM pickup at the LEFRANC - Produits Régionaux shop, less than 5 minutes from the free shuttle departures and the path to reach Mont Saint-Michel on foot — open until 7 PM, 7 days a week.
  • Free parking on site, including for motorhomes (Park4night partner).
